Automated Printing:
The Impact Document Converter can monitor a directory on your system, print all files that are in the directory automatically, and will automatically print any new files that are added to the directory while it is being monitored. Directory Details allows you to examine the files in that directory and the results of any conversions that have taken place to date. You can also select specific files to be converted again.

Supported file types for automated printing are:
- Microsoft Word Documents (.doc, .dot, .rtf)
- Microsoft Excel Documents (.xls)
- Microsoft PowerPoint Documents (.pps, .ppt)
- Microsoft Visio Documents (.vst, .vsd, .vss)
- PDF Documents (.pdf)
- Text Documents (.txt)
- HTML Documents (.htm, .html)
- Image Documents (.tif, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .png, etc.)
You can also enable scheduling to run automated printing on your directories during certain days and time frames.
Bates Numbering
The Impact Document Converter can automatically add Bates numbering to any printed pages. The Bates numbering will be applied to every page printed using the font and color you select.
Bates numbering is a unified way to refer to and track documents and pages by number rather than name. A Bates number is normally a series of letters followed by sequential numbers.
The term “Bates Number" comes from the Bates Manufacturing Co. which was incorporated on September 13, 1890 in New York State. The Bates Numbering is mostly used by law firms, to aid in the referencing of documents.
The Bates Numbering provided by the Impact Document converter is composed of two components: a prefix and a number. The prefix can be ay string including letters and numbers, such as a case number, client name, etc. The second part of the Bates Number, the actual number, will be incremented for each printed page. The user can specify a starting number that will be incremented by the driver automatically for each printed page.
An Example would be "Kramer vs Kramer, 2004 - Page 1", "Kramer vs Kramer, 2004 - Page 2" etc.
Annotations
The Impact Document Converter supports adding annotations to the printed documents.
It is possible to define a custom annotation text that will be placed on every printed page. The annotation text can also contain the current date and/or the time. The date and the time information will be automatically updated by the printer driver at printing time. The Embedded Annotation option supports several formatting options for the format of the date and time. Also the position of the annotation text on the page, and the font used to print the annotation can be fully customized.
Watermarks
Add a watermark image to every printed document using the Print Watermark feature of the Impact Document Converter. The selected image (your company logo, signature, etc.) will show up automatically on the generated images provided you are not printing a raster image. A watermark by definition is an image that is ghosted underneath the contents of the document as it would be on a real paper watermark. If you are printing a raster image of a document the white part of the document will tend to be 100% opaque instead of clear and the watermark will be there, but will not show through the document.
